Armed Citizen Saves Lives - CO Missionary Shootings

Sunday's shooting rampages at two Colorado missionary centers have much in common with so many other similar incidents. A lone, crazed gunman, angry with society decided to seek revenge with the senseless murder of innocent people.

There was one thing the shooter, Matthew Murray, didn't plan for... the one significant factor that differentiates Tuesday's attacks with so many others. What you won't hear from the leftist media is that he failed to choose a "Gun Free Zone"for his attacks. He wasn't prepared for Jeanne Assam, the armed citizen who wasn't just another helpless sheep.

Assam, a former Minneapolis police officer, is being credited with saving dozens, if not hundreds of lives with her selfless act of bravery. When she heard shots being fired and witnessed people running for their lives, she ran toward the gunfire with her own weapon drawn. Though outgunned and facing a madman armed with a rifle and a thousand rounds of ammunition, Assam engaged Murray with her pistol from behind cover, striking him several times and severely wounding him. Murray, defeated and wounded, chose a cowardly retreat and reportedly finished himself off with a shotgun blast.

The media is missing one key point in all this. They report Assam as being a church security guard. In fact, Assam is not a professional security guard! If one looks through the smokescreen of the media coverage, it becomes clear that she was a volunteer, armed with her pistol and concealed carry permit. Sunday's incident highlights what those of us in the "gun culture" have known all along... in the hands of a responsible, armed citizen, firearms can and do in fact SAVE LIVES!

Can't Make This Stuff Up

Just when you thought the "greenies" had run out of things to blame for "global warming", it now seems babies are now a contributing factor.

Being reported today, an Australian "medical expert" and total left-wing nutjob, wants families to pay a $5,000 baby tax at birth and an annual carbon tax of up to $800 per child.

According to the Medical Journal of Australia, Associate Professor Barry Walters says every couple with more than two children should be taxed to pay for enough trees to offset the carbon output generated by each child's lifetime. In other words, babies are yet another cause of global warming.

What does all this gobbledygook mean in English? It's simple. The enviro-Nazis of the world do not like human beings and view people as trespassers on planet Earth. They value plant life over human life and want to reduce the planet's population. Their chosen method for now is taxes... but if that doesn't work, what then? State sanctioned genocide to reduce global warming??

CNN AND CLINTON GET CAUGHT!

That is CNN's beloved LIBERAL reporter Anderson Cooper with a six-egg omelet on his face after it was revealed that Democrat insiders were either able or allowed to infiltrate the Republican debate televised on CNN last night.

Retired Brigadier General Keith Kerr used the YouTube format to challenge Republican Presidential candidates on their stance on gays in the military. Kerr has been a long time advocate against the "don't ask, don't tell" policy currently held by the Armed Forces, which incidentally, was instituted under the Bill Clinton administration. The retired reservist officer feels that gays should be permitted to openly serve in the military. No mention was made of the fact that Kerr is a member of a gay, lesbian and transgender steering committee for Hillary Clinton!

And it turns out Kerr wasn't the only Democrat supporter whose question was chosen by CNN for the televised debate. Ted Faturos, a student at University of California, San Diego, asked a question about corn subsidies. What wasn't revealed by CNN or Faturos, is that he worked as an intern for Democrat Rep. Jane Harman.

One woman, who identified herself as "Journey from Texas" asked candidates about whether they would prosecute women and doctors if abortion were made illegal and the practice continued. Problem is, "Journey" is an active John Edwards supporter! Shortly after the debate, she posted a web video on YouTube.com under username "PAPERSERENADE" wearing a John Edwards t-shirt explaining that she was disappointed with the answers to her question. There's a SHOCKER!! She's a liberal asking the opinion of Republicans... what did she expect?

This debacle begs one to question whether CNN or the Clinton campaign planted these questions in a collaborative effort. Honestly, I see this as CNN (Communist News Network) showing its true colors. They tout themselves as "America's #1 name in news." In all actuality, CNN is nothing more than America's #1 name in biased propaganda! And naturally, the Clinton campaign denies any involvement in this incident. Just as they deny any involvement in the massive amount of illegal campaign contributions they've received and the planted questions at Hillary's stump speeches, they proclaim their hands are clean once again. If nothing else, I must admit that Hillary is a master of denial.

Imagine the backlash if FoxNews allowed Fred Thompson's campaign advisor to ask Mssss. Clinton if she could provide receipts for the multi-thousand dollar campaign contributions she's received from shady donors in some of the poorest neighborhoods in New York! Good Lord, the Democrats would wet themselves in anger! All of this serves to further prove my point, and I make it often, that Democrats will stop at nothing to bring themselves unto power. As for CNN's part in all of this... well hell, charging CNN with fair reporting is like ordering the fox to watch the hen house.

First Amendment, Which Protects Against Tyranny, Being Abused Yet Again

If a national atheist association has its way, memorial crosses that adorn Utah's highways in honor of fallen state troopers may be taken down. The cross displayed in the above photo memorializes the life and service of Utah State Trooper John Antoniewicz, who was shot and killed in the line of duty in 1974.

American Atheists Inc. has filed a federal lawsuit, arguing that the 13 white crosses violate the First Amendment, which prohibits government establishment of religion. The key word here is "government." See, the thing is, these 13 memorial crosses were not erected by "the government." They were paid for entirely by private funds donated by co-workers and family members of fallen Utah State Troopers.

The First Amendment states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." So it would appear to me that American Atheists Inc. has a very weak case here when one considers that the mere presence of privately constructed crosses on a state highway has absolutely NOTHING to do with government establishing a religion. In fact, if government did NOT permit the presence of these memorials, it would seem to me that in fact it were acting to prohibit "the free exercise thereof."

American Atheists will likely lose this case, but what is most bothersome is that this small group of leftist heathens is abusing the Bill of Rights, particularly the First Amendment, to denigrate the memories of fallen law enforcement officers and their families and further their secularist agenda.

The First Amendment was written by our Founding Fathers to protect the people from tyranny in government, not to protect people from being offended!! All too often, liberals cite the First Amendment as some sort of "catch-all" in the Bill of Rights when they find something objectionable. If the incredibly small minority of atheists in this country find crosses, memorials or other religious symbols offensive, then perhaps they should just look the other damn way! I'm offended on a daily basis by things people do and say, but I don't run off to the courthouse to file a lawsuit. Why? Because I'm a damn adult and even if I don't agree with something I see or hear, I respect that person's right to be different than me. I am sick and tired of the cry-baby lawsuits taking place in this country because certain groups or individuals had their feelings hurt. Frankly, if you can't handle the simple task of learning to live with being offended every now and then, your life is going to be one long, sad, pathetic existence!

1. IMMEDIATE and unconditional retreat from Iraq, the central front in the War on Terror. In recent months, attacks on coalition troops and Iraqi civilians are down 80%. The surge is proving to be an exceptional success. U.S. commanders have all but declared Al Qaeda in Iraq to be broken and shattered. AQI is no longer an effective fighting force. The flow of foreign fighters into Iraq has diminished. Iraqi civilians are increasingly taking charge of their country and working more and more closely with U.S. troops, yet House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refers to the war with phrases like, "there is no light at the end of the tunnel" and "Iraq is a disaster." Oh, but she supports the troops (riiiiight).

2. Higher taxes! M$$$$$. Clinton's new spending proposals will cost $773 BILLION and climbing. She can't pay for her programs without forcing crippling tax hikes on the American people.

3. Surrender of your personal freedom and liberties. For the past year, democrat leaders and Presidential candidates have been telling Americans that we're too stupid to take care of ourselves and we should surrender our lives to their control. Think about it. Democrats want to bail out folks who foolishly bought more home than they could afford or entered into high risk loans. The liberal food police think we're too fat, so they're going to control what and when we eat. Criminals use firearms to commit crime, so they want to try to abolish the 2nd Amendment so that NOBODY can own a gun. Higher taxes to pay for social programs to help those who refuse to play by the rules and earn an honest living.

4. Terrorists are people too and America must be gentle and respect their feelings. While Al Qaeda slices people's heads off with machetes, we must ensure that captured enemy fighters have the same, if not more legal rights than American citizens. They are entitled to legal representation and foot washing stations in captivity. Waterboarding a high value prisoner to get vital information that might prevent a mass casualty attack?? GOD NO! That's just mean!

5. Open borders. Liberals shudder at the idea of actually stopping millions of Mexicans from flooding across our border every year. Illegals make great puppets for liberals! In exchange for driver's licences, college tuition discounts and free medical care; illegals will support the democrat party, even if it's done illegally.

6. Further loss of religious freedom. The attacks on Christianity are getting worse and worse every day. Bleeding heart, liberal bureaucrats find crosses and crucifixes offensive. To them, God is bad and evil is perfectly acceptable so long as we appease it. Christmas lights and nativity scenes on your own home? Forget about it! For example, Ft. Collins, CO. has developed a "holiday decoration task force." Their goal... to make sure Christmas and Hanukkah DIE and give way to a more secular celebration. The 2% of atheist heathens in this country are actually given preferential treatment to the 80% of REAL Americans who love and worship God and believe that this nation was founded on the teachings of Jesus Christ.

7. American citizens serve the government, not the other way around. I cringe at what I've heard Mssss. Clinton utter so many times... "for the common good." Right. That's what Adolf Hitler, Nikita Kruschev and Joseph Stalin told their people when they took power. The people surrendered their freedoms "for the common good" and ended up with tyrannical dictatorships. No, Hillary is not Hitler reincarnated. But when the people surrender personal freedom and responsibility "for the common good", it is almost never returned.

Democrats have an insatiable thirst for pushing America further and further to the left, to the point where democracy will give way to socialism. Our Founding Fathers warned of this! Democrats preach that America is bad and the rest of the world, even the dictatorships (Cuba and Venezuela for examples) have it right. They say that it's patriotic to bash the Commander in Chief during a time of war. They say it's patriotic to offer more protection to the enemy than our own warriors who fight for our very lives. The libs have it all wrong! Senator Joe Lieberman had it right when he bashed his former party for abandoning the values it used to hold. He asked what happened to the party of John F. Kennedy who said, "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty." If America is so bad, what will Msssss. Clinton do to make it better? The thought frightens me!

What's Wrong With This Photo?

This photo was taken during a democrat fundraiser last month in Iowa. The slimy scumbag on the far left is Barack Hussein Obama. He wants to be President of the United States, yet he doesn't even have the common decency nor the respect for America to render proper honors to the American Flag during the National Anthem!

Does he want to be President out of love for country? Or is it his desire for power that drives him? In my opinion, folding one's hands at his crotch during The Star Spangled Banner is FAR from displaying due respect for the flag that represents all that this great nation stands for. Hundreds of thousands of Americans, including the Founding Fathers, have died defending what our flag represents. And I must say, it disgusts me to see a standing U.S. Senator and Presidential candidate lacking the same recognition!

United States Code, Title 36, Ch. 10, Sec. 171 -- During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at ATTENTION facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder , the hand being over the heart.

The letter from 41 Senate democrats denouncing Rush Limbaugh for his "phony soldier" comment has sold for a whopping $2.1 MILLION on e-bay! That's over 2 million dollars that will benefit the children of fallen Marines and Federal Law Enforcement officers.

Senator Harry Reid actually congratulated Rush Limbaugh for his efforts and seemed to act as if HE had some part in this major charitable contribution!! Truth is, Reid was forced to eat one massive plate of HUMBLE PIE! Reid's letter, co-signed by forty other Senate liberals backfired big time! Yet, rather than apologize and admit to having deliberately lied in an attempt to smear a private citizen, Reid has tried to jump on the bandwagon. Unbelievable! Frankly, Harry Reid and his fellow Senate democrats are as significant as a screen door on a submarine!

Rush was quick to point out on his radio show that Senator Reid still has yet to apologize for his actions and that Reid had absolutely NOTHING to do with raising 2 million dollars for the aforementioned charity. Furthermore, Limbaugh again issued his challenge to the forty-one democrats to match his donation dollar for dollar.

Senate Democrats Letter Attacking Rush Limbaugh

Senate Democrats vs. Rush Limbaugh

Love him or hate him, Rush Limbaugh certainly knows how to make waves and shake things up. And liberals hate him for it. During his Sep. 26 radio show, Rush was speaking with an on-air caller about the utter lack of support by the left for the Iraq War. Limbaugh made mention of how the left goes out of their way to dig up a handful of soldiers to speak out against the war, as if to say, "See... this soldier says Iraq is a disaster, so it must be true!" Even though all evidence points to the contrary. Limbaugh specifically mentioned one soldier in particular, referring to him as a "phony soldier." This "soldier", turned anti-war activist, is Jesse Macbeth. Macbeth falsely claimed to have witnessed and even participated in war crimes in Iraq and received the Purple Heart. In reality, Macbeth was discharged after just 44 days of service, having never even set foot in Iraq! Yet, this didn't stop him from becoming an anti-war puppet for the left-wing agenda. His lies and fraudulent VA benefits claims landed him five months in prison!

So Limbaugh was correct when he referred to this soldier as "phony." But this is not how the infamous "phony soldier" comment was played out in the liberal media. The big media along with 41 Senate Democrats spun the comment in such a way that made it appear that Limbaugh was anti-military and anti-soldier. How dare he refer to our troops as "phonies."

Harry Reid and his fellow liberals in the U.S. Senate turned away from the business of running the country to publicly smear a PRIVATE CITIZEN! Forty-one Senators, all Democrats, wrote a letter to Limbaugh's boss, blasting him for his comments and essentially demanding that he be fired. Imagine... elected politicians publicly smearing and attempting to crucify a private citizen for exercising his First Amendment right to free speech!

Well Limbaugh has ingeniously turned the tables on the forty-one. He placed the letter on public auction at http://www.ebay.com/. The current bid is a whopping $65,100. Limbaugh will be donating the proceeds from the auction to one of his favorite charities, The Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, which provides assistance to children of fallen U.S. Marines and Federal Law Enforcement Officers. Furthermore, Limbaugh has promised to match the winning bid from his own wallet.

Limbaugh has issued a challenge to Harry Reid and the 40 Senators who co-signed the letter to match the winning bid as a chance for them to demonstrate if they truly are as patriotic as they claim. We'll see if that happens. Here is a statement by Rush himself... "I would like to issue this challenge to Senator Reid and the 41 senators who signed his letter. You say you support the military. You say you're big, and you think it's patriotic, and that I was unpatriotic. Well, I would like for each of you, Senator Reid, and the 40 senators who signed, to match whatever the winning bid is. Show us your support for the U.S. military by all 41 of you pro-military people, Democrats in the Senate, match whatever the winning bid is and send that amount to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation."

This whole ordeal is not really about what Limbaugh said or what he feels. Truth is, Rush is extremely patriotic and supports America's Armed Forces like no one else! OPERATION RED WING

NAVY SEAL TO BE AWARDED CONGRESSIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR

U.S. Navy SEAL, Lt. Michael P. Murphy will be posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor during a White House ceremony Oct. 22nd. His family will be receiving the award in his honor.

Lt. Murphy was leading a four man SEAL team on a special reconnaissance mission deep behind enemy lines east of Asadabad in the Hindu Kush of Afghanistan June 27-28, 2005.

The operation, code named "Red Wing", tasked the SEAL element with locating a high-level Taliban militia leader to provide intelligence for a follow-on mission to capture or destroy the local leadership and disrupt enemy activity. Local Taliban sympathizers discovered the SEAL unit and immediately revealed their position to Taliban fighters. The SEALS later found themselves besieged on a mountaintop by scores of enemy fighters.

The SEALS fought the enemy fearlessly despite being at a tactical disadvantage and outnumbered, facing more than fifty enemy fighters. Lt. Murphy, understanding the gravity of the situation, and already wounded, moved from cover into the open where he took and returned fire while transmitting a call for help for his teammates. While being shot at, Murphy provided his units location and requested immediate support. He returned to cover and continued to engage the enemy until finally succumbing to his wounds. Murphy's action led to the rescue of one severely wounded SEAL and the recovery of the remains of his fallen teammates.

Lt. Murphy will be inducted into the Hall of Heroes at the Pentagon on Oct. 23. His name will be engraved beside the names of some 3,400 other service members who have also been awarded the nation's highest honor.

Hillary Hires Convicted Felon Sandy Berger

Republicans are blasting Hillary Clinton after learning today that she has hired Sandy Berger, a former top aide to President Bill Clinton, to be her campaign's foreign policy and national security advisor.

Sandy Berger was Bill Clinton's national security advisor from 1997 to 2001. In 2003, while preparing for upcoming 9/11 hearings, he stole classified documents from the National Archives, hiding them in his clothing and eventually destroying them. Said documents were suspected to show that the Clinton Administration had FAR more detailed knowledge of the threat posed by Al Qaeda and Usama Bin Laden than it admitted to. Caught in the act, and after initially denying all charges, Berger later admitted to the theft and was sentenced to probation. He is also prohibited from handling classified documents until late next year.

We've all heard that Bill Clinton had several opportunities to kill or capture UBL during his administration. When covert CIA officers had tracked down Bin Laden in the Sudan, they had the master terrorist in their cross-hairs. Required to ask Washington for permission to "pull the trigger", it was Sandy Berger who denied the request, allowing the world's most wanted man to go free!!

While many folks are shocked that Hillary would make such a foolish political mistake, I am not. The Clintons are both known for dealing with felons and criminals in their quest for power. This is just another example of that. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is now being advised on foreign policy matters by a CONVICTED FELON, who committed TREASON against the United States of America. It's almost unthinkable. While Berger should be turning big rocks into little rocks in a federal prison, he'll be working for one of the most powerful women in the country... a woman who wants to be president!!

Hillary Clinton -- Your Baby is Worth $5,000!

In yet another professional politician type scheme to pander for votes, mainly from the poor, Hillary Clinton has promised to give $5,000 to every baby born under her administration should she be elected president. The cost? Clinton doesn't know. Will children born to illegal immigrants in this country be covered? No word on that yet. Who will pay for this program? You guessed it... YOU AND I WILL!

Since Hillary's latest "promise" offers very little specifics, we'll just assume here that the $5,000 would be placed in some sort of interest-bearing account that would most certainly earn more money over time than Social Security. The interesting thing is that the very people who support this ridiculous idea are the same people who vigorously opposed President Bush's plan for partial privatization of Social Security. Under Bush's plan, a worker may VOLUNTARILY place a portion of his FICA taxes in private stocks or bonds, allowing an interest rate that exceeds the one offered by Social Security. Under the current plan, the money vanishes into the hands of the government upon the death of the worker. Bush's plan would allow the worker to bequeath the money to his/her children.

So aside from the blatant hypocrisy, why is this plan so ridiculous? Well for one reason, it would reward illegitimate child birth. This program would provide incentives for folks who cannot feed, clothe or educate their children to have more babies. Programs like WIC, public housing, food stamps and daycare vouchers already do this. The statement made is simple... breed irresponsibly and the government will compel taxpayers to step in. Enough of my taxpayer money already covers the poor, the lazy and the incompetent. Now Hillary proposes to use even MORE of my hard-earned cash to pay for the future of other people's children!

What about my future? Social Security, in its current form, will be long dead by the time I am eligible for retirement. This government program, which I have paid into since the age of 16, will likely provide me with ZERO return thanks to the corruption and abuse that liberals have not only allowed but promoted. My parents did one hell of a job raising me WITHOUT the assistance of the government. Apparently, Hillary feels that today's parents aren't up to the task. But never fear... she's here to help. God help us all!

Hillary should read the results of the Welfare Reform Act of 1996, signed into law by the first President Clinton (and God willing, the last). Welfare rolls plummeted by 50% without an increase in abortion. Able-bodied people, faced with time limits and denied increases in monies, got off the couch and got a job!

Today the Senate overwhelmingly passed a measure condemning MoveOn.Org for a newspaper ad it ran last week attacking General David Petraeus. The commanding General of all allied forces in Iraq was viciously characterized as a traitor in a full page ad in the New York Times during his Congressional progress report on the War in Iraq.

The measure passed by a vote of 72-25 with the support of 23 Democrats. NONE of the Democratic presidential candidates supported the vote.

1. She wants to close GITMO & move the combatants to the USA where they would have access to our legal system.

2. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of suspected Al Qeada phone calls to/from the USA.

3. She wants to grant constitutional rights to enemy combatants captured on the battlefield.

4. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of money transfers between suspected Al Qaeda cells & supporters in the USA.

5. She wants to eliminate the type of interrogation tactics used by the military & CIA where coercion might be used when questioning known terrorists even though such tactics might save American lives.

I can't think of a single bill Hillary has introduced or a single comment she has made that would tend to strengthen our country in the War on Terror. But, I can think of a lot of comments she has made that weakens our country & makes it a more dangerous situation for all of us. She goes hand in hand with the ACLU on far too many issues where common sense is abandoned. She is a disaster for all Americans.

With good morals and midwestern values, one would think we were safe from such extreme liberalism here in Iowa, but that is no more. Today, Judge Robert Hanson ruled in favor of six gay/lesbian Iowa couples who sued for the right to marry in yet another stunning example of a liberal, activist judge dictating law rather than enforcing it. While the vast majority of Americans, including Iowans, oppose gay marriage, once again it is the MINORITY that is overriding the will of the people.

Iowa Democrats, including Gov. Chet Culver, are largely speaking out against today's ruling. But the fact is that they allowed this to happen with their opposition to a marriage amendment. Democrats are more interested in appeasing extreme, left-wing special interest groups rather than standing up for what is right... even if that means going against the will of the vast majority! It is time for our politicians, Republican AND Democrat, to stop caving to small groups of people with particular special interests who seek to overturn the will of the people!

MESA, Ariz. (AP) - School officials suspended a 13-year-old boy for sketching what looked like a gun, saying the action posed a threat to his classmates.

The boy's parents said the drawing was a harmless doodle and school officials overreacted.

"The school made him feel like he committed a crime. They are doing more damage than good," said the boy's mother, Paula Mosteller.The drawing did not show blood, bullets, injuries or target any human, the parents said. And the East Valley Tribune reported that the boy said he didn't intend for the picture to be a threat.

Administrators of Payne Junior High in nearby Chandler suspended the boy on Monday for five days but later reduced it to three days.

The boy's father, Ben Mosteller, said that when he went to the school to discuss his son's punishment, school officials mentioned the seriousness of the issue and talked about the massacre at Colorado's Columbine High School, where two teenagers shot and killed 12 students, a teacher and themselves in 1999. Mosteller said he was offended by the reference.

Michael Vick and the NAACP

Well, the NAACP is at it once again. The Atlanta chapter of the group that promotes ADVANTAGE not EQUALITY for black people is demanding that the NFL allow Michael Vick to continue to play professional football after his prison term. Vick recently accepted a plea deal in the federal criminal case against his dogfighting ring. He's expected to serve 12-18 months in a federal prison.

Vick, who initially denied any and all involvement in this dogfighting ring, only capitulated after three of his co-conspirators rolled over and told prosecutors that Vick was not only involved, but was the ring-leader. They also testified to having seen Vick personally hang, drown and mutilate dogs who didn't perform well in fights.

So why, according to the NAACP, should Vick be allowed to continue his NFL career? Why should the NFL reward a convicted felon with a multi-million dollar contract after his prison sentence? Simple... because he's BLACK! You see, it's not Vick's fault he violated federal law. It's not his fault he flat-out lied to his employer about charges brought against him. It's not his fault he flushed his multi-million dollar career down the toilet for an illegal gambling ring that led to the deaths of several defenseless animals. It's all because he's black and "the man" has kept him down all his life. Racism in America FORCED Vick to break the law and murder animals, so he deserves a second chance.

Cry me a river! Michael Vick has been paid MILLIONS to play a game for a living! Neither he nor the NAACP have any justification for playing the race card in this case. He's been given advantages in life that most people dream of and he threw it all away. He deserves everything he gets and I hope federal prison is a nightmare for him!

Tribute to a Fallen American

Today I bore witness to a somber yet heart-warming event. It was the return of a fallen U.S. Marine to be laid to rest here in Iowa. I don't know the specifics of how or where this American hero died, nor do I know exactly where he is from. It doesn't matter. I do know that he courageously gave his life in defense of freedom and justice.

Just before the aircraft bearing the flag-draped coffin arrived, a brief rain shower fell at the airport. It was as if God himself were weeping at the loss of this brave warrior. The crisp Marine Corps honor guard rendered honors as a Navy boatswain piped him ashore for the last time. Family members cried and held each other tight. "Rolling Thunder" was on hand to escort the funeral procession away. Their powerful Harleys flying American flags were truly a sight to see. God bless them all.

Witnessing this gave me pause and brought a tear to my eye. Thank God America produces such wonderful, brave heroes who willingly sacrifice so much for our very freedom. I wish every American had seen what I saw today. Moments such as this can only force one to reflect how fortunate we are to be AMERICAN.

May God care for and comfort the families and friends who are grieving this day. And may He bless this fallen warrior and forever keep him in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Fight "Global Warming" With Taxes!!

Democrat Congressman John Dingell of Michigan announced a plan this week to fight the colossal hoax we know as "global warming" by hiking federal gasoline taxes by 50 cents per gallon and ending mortgage tax deductions on what he calls "large houses." Oddly enough, I seem to recall Democrats promising to reduce gasoline prices just prior to the mid-term elections in 2006. I guess that was just a pipe dream. Now their strategy is to simply collapse the economy for "the common good." Someone give me a bucket to puke in, please!

There can be no doubt that Democrats are chomping at the bit to significantly raise taxes on ALL AMERICANS! Gone are the days when they target only "the rich." A 50 cent tax increase on every gallon of gasoline would put a massive hurt on everyone! And these insane proposals are coming at a time when Bush is in the White House and liberals know all too well that he'd veto any such bills. Now imagine the chaos if Hillary were to be elected!! Liberal ideas such as these only confirm my belief that left-wingers won't be satisfied that we've done enough to reduce "global warming" until we're all living in hand-built log cabin homes and riding a horse and buggy again!

"Global warming" is a colossal hoax being perpetrated on the American people by left-wing nutjobs. Mankind is not a "cancer" to Earth and nature as eco-nazis would have us believe. We are but mere temporary residents of a planet that is FAR more powerful than we are!

San FranSICKO... More Proof That Liberalism is a Mental Disorder

In August 2005, San FranSICKO city leaders rejected a proposal to anchor the mighty battleship U.S.S. Iowa at Fisherman's Wharf to serve her final mission as a floating museum and tribute to the Sailors and Marines who serve and have served in the Naval Forces. The Iowa served her nation proudly in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf, yet she was deliberately shunned by left-wing nutjobs, citing the city's opposition to the War on Terror and the military's stance on gays. This was an outright slap in the face of America's veterans and the U.S. Armed Forces.

In November 2006, San FranSICKO cut off all funding for Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) programs, because school board members said it promoted the U.S. military, war and the death of innocent people. These liberal crazies believe that a program that teaches high school kids important life values such as honor, commitment, respect and love for country has no place in San Francisco. Instead, the school district will institute a new character development program called GAYROTC. God only knows what that acronym stands for, but I can only surmise that this new program will teach the wonderful merits of sinning and violating the natural human order of heterosexuality to children.

More recently, the city has appointed a transexual sex-shop owner to be the new police commissioner. That's right, the person in charge of the city's police department, who are supposed to be the protectors of law and morality, is a sexual deviant transformer (more than meets the eye) who used to be a man.

Finally, today it was reported that San FranSICKO will BAN the U.S. Navy Blue Angels from performing flight demonstrations and historic fly-by's in said city. One S.F. city leader opined that the Blue Angels teach children that war is cool! Funny thing is, of all the times I've seen the Blues perform, never once did I see them strafe women and children. This team is made up of some of the finest men and women America has to offer which if anything, teaches children the importance of teamwork, competence, hard work and patriotism. These values are obviously completely foreign to left-wing nutjobs, especially San FranSICKOS!!

All of this is yet more proof that liberalism, is indeed, a serious mental disorder that should be treated with medication and electroshock therapy. Such hard core liberals are a serious threat to this nation and traditional American laws and values. San Francisco has essentially separated itself from the rest of the United States, which is just fine by this author. This city is basically its own little wanna-be communist state. Maybe it's time we treat it as such, otherwise the diseases born in S.F. are liable to spread! Fortunately, there isn't much procreation going on in San Francisco... if you know what I mean.

Why Liberals Want America to LOSE The War on Terror

At least in my opinion, which I hold in high esteem, it should be pretty obvious to any true, red-blooded, thinking American that Democrats have no interest in winning the War on Terror. Why would American politicians (liberals) want America to suffer defeat, you ask? Allow me to explain.

-- First and foremost, liberals in general are cowardly people. They are the types who would rather submit to the enemy or attempt to appease him rather than destroy him, much like they suggest that a rape victim should never fight back. Remember the Democratic Party's stance during the Cold War? While President Reagan was actively fighting and winning the Cold War, Democrats thought it would be better to appease the Soviet Empire. They would rather live on their knees than die on their feet!

-- Liberals HATE President Bush with unbridled passion! They oppose his position on every major item facing this country. In fact, they hate him so much, that they are willing to sacrifice the strength of this nation during a time of war simply because HE is in charge and not THEM.

-- Liberals don't really like America. It's true! Oh sure, they talk a good game and spit out patriotic slogans here and there, but ask one what they really LOVE about America. They sure as hell don't appreciate America's military or economic might. They squash free speech if it doesn't align with their biased agenda. They hate religion and the American citizen's freedom to express such. The real far-left wackos even get off on burning the American Flag. I could go on, but I think you get the idea.

-- The left does NOT believe that freedom is worth fighting for, especially when the going gets rough. History has proven this to be true. Just examine the Vietnam War and how LBJ handled that debacle!

-- They believe that America is the root cause of worldwide terrorism! Listen to the drivel spewed by the likes of Congressman Charles Rangel, Senator Dick Durbin, Al Gore, Rosie O'Donnell and her fellow Holly-weirdos. To them, America is the bad guy, not the jihadists who cover their faces and behead innocent civilians, plant bombs in crowded marketplaces and kill children in their schools! As outrageous as it sounds, it's absolutely true!

Yes, the Democrats hope against hope that America will lose the War on Terror so they can point their bony, little fingers and say, "See, we told ya so, it's all Bush's fault we're in this mess." She goes on to say that nobody should be allowed to own guns except police. AHHH, but her policy obviously doesn't apply to her and her bodyguard. You see, Rosie arranged for her bodyguard, who escorts her little girl to kindergarten, to lawfully carry a concealed firearm. Fascists truly believe the things they preach don't apply to them. They are entitled to personal protection while us commoners are expected to be simple, helpless sheep amongst wolves!

Socialized Health Care: The Titanic of Medicine

Liberals prefer to call it "universal health care" because it sounds more politically correct and it's an easier pill to swallow (pun intended), but what we're really talking about today is socialized health care. All too often we hear the socialists like Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Al Gore and others bandstanding about the issue of Americans who don't have or can't afford health insurance. Their "fix" is known as "universal health care" where they make hefty promises to insure all Americans. Insert, "We're the government... we're here to help."

The problems with socialized health care are many, but I'll touch on a few of the big points in here.

1. COST. The only way for the federal government to pay for insurance for uninsured Americans is to raise taxes to unprecedented levels. Canadians often brag about their having "free health care." FREE my butt! They pay for their socialized health care system by having 50-60% of their income taxed to pay for said system.

2. Efficiency. Remember the social health care system promoted by then First Lady Hillary Clinton during her husband's first term? Her proposed health care system wound up becoming a bureaucratic monster that included over 1,000 pages of text. It was so complex, that even Congress couldn't make sense of it all. This complexity, among other things, thankfully led to the plan's demise.

3. Choice. I sure as hell don't want the government telling me WHEN I can see my doctor, WHO my doctor can be and for WHAT reasons I can pay him an office visit. A socialized health care system like what we see in Canada and Europe dictates all these things to the average citizen rather than letting him or her make reasonable choices.

4. Incentive. Socialized medicine destroys physician incentives to provide top-quality, competitive care to patients. Drug companies are hindered by restrictive government regulations and price controls and soon cannot develop new medicines.

5. Privacy and liberty are destroyed by submitting your personal freedom of choice to the government. Enough said on that!

Liberals love to beat the dead horse by telling us nightmare stories from those who are sick/uninsured. And this author sympathizes with those individuals. I'd love for all Americans to have proper health care. But socialized medicine is NOT the answer. What liberals DO NOT mention is that while far from perfect, health care in the United States is the best in the world because it is based on a free-market, competitive, profit-based system. This system promotes continuous improvements in physician care and pharmaceutical research to be competitive, which translate to the best patient care in the world!

Consider this interesting fact brought to my attention by a co-worker and MyVoice reader... In 2006, the former Prime Minister of Italy and richest man in that country, Silvio Berlusconi, was diagnosed with a dangerously irregular heart rhythm. Berlusconi, being a very wealthy man in a position of power, could have gone anywhere in the world for heart surgery. He didn't choose to get on a 3-month waiting list for surgery in Europe or Canada. Instead, he personally phoned President Bush and asked him to recommend a good American hospital. In the end, Berlusconi had his heart surgery performed at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. He chose to have his surgery in the U.S. for good reason!

We all want every American to have proper health care coverage, but if we want that health care to remain the best in the world, we must say HELL NO to socialized, government controlled medicine!
