U.S. Senate Condemns MoveOn.Org

Today the Senate overwhelmingly passed a measure condemning MoveOn.Org for a newspaper ad it ran last week attacking General David Petraeus. The commanding General of all allied forces in Iraq was viciously characterized as a traitor in a full page ad in the New York Times during his Congressional progress report on the War in Iraq.

The measure passed by a vote of 72-25 with the support of 23 Democrats. NONE of the Democratic presidential candidates supported the vote.

Hillary Clinton -- NO

Chris Dodd -- NO

John Kerry -- NO

Barrack Hussein Obama -- did not vote (though 20 minutes earlier, he voted to circumvent the measure altogether)

Tom Harkin -- NO

If these Democrats listed above, three of whom are running for President, do NOT have the courage or backbone to stand up to an extreme left-wing fringe group like MoveOn.Org, how in the world will they ever stand up to America's enemies? How will they handle Al Qaeda and the War on Terror? The lack of action in this matter by the part of Clinton, Obama, Dodd and others seriously calls into question their credibility to be Commander-in-Chief of America's Armed Forces.

Mitt Romney put it best..."Hillary Clinton had a choice. She could stand with our troop commander in Iraq, or she could stand with the libelous left wing of her party. She chose the latter. The idea that she would be a credible commander-in-chief of our Armed Forces requires the willing suspension of disbelief."

Liberal Nutjob Quote of the Day

"A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus. Suck it, Jesus. This award is my god now."

Fred Thompson -- Patriot

Six years have passed since the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Today is a day to remember those who lost their lives at the hands of radical Islamic terrorists who despise our values and way of life, as well as those men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice helping their fellow citizens that tragic day, and defending freedom in the years that have followed.

We must never forget that America has shed more blood defending freedom here and abroad than all the other countries in the world combined. And it was no different on 9/11. Before the twin towers fell, before the smoke had cleared from the Pentagon, before the brave men and women of Flight 93 had made a stand over Shanksville, Penn., Americans were fighting back.

America's heritage of defending freedom has fallen to us. It is a great trust that our generation willingly accepts and must uphold. But the best way we can do that - while honoring the tragic loss of our fellow citizens six years ago today, and in all of the years since - is to make sure our nation continues to stand for freedom, remains strong and united in the face of threats, and secure.

MoveOn.Org & Liberal Left Accuse General David Petraeus of Treason!

Let's be clear: is suggesting that General Petraeus has 'betrayed' his country. This is disgusting. To attack as a traitor an American general commanding forces in war because his 'on the ground' experience does not align with's political objectives is utterly shameful. It shows contempt for America's military leadership, as well as for the troops who have confidence in him, as our fellow soldiers in Iraq certainly do.

General Petraeus has served this country for over 35 years with honor, distinction, and integrity. And this is not just about General Petraeus. After all, if General Petraeus is "cooking the books," then the entire military chain of command in Baghdad, and all the staff, military and civilian, who have been working with General Petraeus are complicit, since Petraeus did not write his report in isolation. They are all, apparently, 'betray[ing] us.' has been working closely with the Democratic congressional leadership --as an article in today's Sunday New York Times Magazine makes clear. And consider this comment by a Democratic senator from Friday's Politico: "'No one wants to call [Petraeus] a liar on national TV,' noted one Democratic senator, who spoke on the condition on anonymity. 'The expectation is that the outside groups will do this for us.'

So, veterans who served in Iraq ask the Democratic leaders in Congress: Does speak for you? Do you agree with Or do you repudiate this despicable charge? has helped frame the core choice: Whom do we trust to run this and its allies in Congress, or Gen. David Petraeus and his colleagues?

Never Again... Never Forget

Patriot Day

“September 11, 2001, was a defining moment in American history. On that terrible day, our Nation saw the face of evil as 19 men barbarously attacked us and wantonly murdered people of many races, nationalities, and creeds. On Patriot Day, we remember the innocent victims, and we pay tribute to the valiant firefighters, police officers, emergency personnel and ordinary citizens who risked their lives so others might live. After the attacks on 9/11, America resolved that we would go on the offense against our enemies, and we would not distinguish between the terrorists and those who harbor and support them. All Americans honor the selfless men and women of our Armed Forces, the dedicated members of our public safety, law enforcement and intelligence communities, and the thousands of others who work hard each day to protect our country, secure our liberty and prevent future attacks. The spirit of our people is the source of America’s strength, and six years ago, Americans came to the aid of neighbors in need. On Patriot Day, we pray for those who died and for their families. We volunteer to help others and demonstrate the continuing compassion of our citizens. On this solemn occasion, we rededicate ourselves to laying the foundation of peace with confidence in our mission and our free way of life.”

Six Years Later...

"For six years, we have been at war on a worldwide basis with a movement funded largely by Saudi Arabian and Iranian sources. For six years, we have failed to confront the scale of our enemy, the direct threat of nuclear and biological weapons if possessed by that enemy, and the scale and nature of the strategy needed to win the larger war with that enemy. ... The great tragedy of the six years since 9/11 is that we have not had a national debate about the scale of our opponents, the depth of their hatred for our way of life and the very real threat that they will acquire nuclear and biological weapons. With the former, they may kill hundreds of thousands of Americans in our cities. With the latter, millions of Americans could die in a deliberate attack."

Dick Morris -- The Truth About Hillary

Dick Morris was a long time friend and political advisor to Bill Clinton. He first worked with Bill and Hillary Clinton during Bill's 1978 campaign for governor of Arkansas. In 1994, after Republicans won control of Congress, the Clintons again called on Morris to lead Bill's 1996 re-election campaign for President of the United States. During those years, Morris got to know the Clintons about as well as anyone. Now, with Hillary running for President, he speaks out about the true Hillary he knows so well.

See Bill's "commercial" promoting Hillary's candidacy for some background

Bill says: In law school Hillary worked on legal services for the poor. The facts are: Hillary's main extra-curricular activity in law school was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a federal agent. She went to court every day as part of a law student monitoring committee trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal.

Bill says: Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a children's rights project for poor kids. The facts are: Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party. She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him.

Bill says: Hillary was the face of America all over the world. The facts are: Her visits were part of a program to get her out of town so that Bill would not appear weak by feeding stories that Hillary was running the White House. Her visits abroad were entirely touristic and symbolic and there was no substantive diplomacy on any of them.

Bill says: Hillary was an excellent Senator who kept fighting for children's and women's issues. The facts are: Other than totally meaningless legislation like changing the names on courthouses and post offices, she has passed only four substantive pieces of legislation. One set up a national park in Puerto Rico. A second provided respite care for family members helping their relatives through Alzheimer's or other conditions. And two were routine bills to aid 9-11 victims and responders which were sponsored by the entire NY delegation.

Here is what bothers me more than anything else about Hillary Clinton. She has done everything possible to weaken the President and our country (that's you and me!) when it comes to the war on terror.

1. She wants to close GITMO & move the combatants to the USA where they would have access to our legal system.

2. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of suspected Al Qeada phone calls to/from the USA.

3. She wants to grant constitutional rights to enemy combatants captured on the battlefield.

4. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of money transfers between suspected Al Qaeda cells & supporters in the USA.

5. She wants to eliminate the type of interrogation tactics used by the military & CIA where coercion might be used when questioning known terrorists even though such tactics might save American lives.

I can't think of a single bill Hillary has introduced or a single comment she has made that would tend to strengthen our country in the War on Terror. But, I can think of a lot of comments she has made that weakens our country & makes it a more dangerous situation for all of us. She goes hand in hand with the ACLU on far too many issues where common sense is abandoned. She is a disaster for all Americans.
