Have YOU forgotten?

And how exactly is the tragedy of September 11th connected to Iraq? Don't you think we should find Bin Laden instead of trying to force democracy on people who don't want us in their country? I see you have enabled comment moderation. I guess if this isn't posted I will not come back.

You're obviously the kind of liberal coward I write about in my blog, so this may not be the site for you, but I'll answer your questions anyway.

I want Bin Laden killed as much as anyone. My point to the photo "Have YOU forgotten" is to remind Americans WHY we are engaged in the War on Terror, both in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as other places around the world.

Liberal Democrats in particular seem to have forgotten WHO we are fighting and why. We are fighting people who want nothing less than our total destruction. Would you prefer to fight them in your hometown as opposed to Basra or Baghdad?

Train your liberal brain and THINK about it!

You call me a coward. Are you over there fighting the war? All I think you're doing is ranting about how the democrats want us to lose and anybody that isn't for the war is a liberal coward. Point taken, but it's easy to say such things when you aren't getting shot at or when you don't have a loved one over there. Do you have all your limbs? My husband doesn't. And for what? We gave the Iraqi people a democracy that will probably be overturned a week after our troops leave and it will be replaced with a civil war worse than the one going on now. It doesn't matter when our military withdraws, the result will be the same. It doesn't look like anyone else is posting on this blog so I'll quit posting. I'll admit defeat. You win! I've got to go and help my husband get dressed. You see, he made a sacrifice. It's been fun reading your extreme right-wing rants.

Anonymous,

Thanks for the complements! They are greatly appreciated. I HAVE indeed sacrificed for my country. Not in limbs or bodyparts, but I did honorably serve in the US NAVY for 8 years. Obviously that does not put me on par with combat veterans as my service was during peacetime, and I sympathize greatly with your husband.

But instead of harboring cowardice and hatred, perhaps you should be PROUD of your husband's sacrifice and stop using it as an excuse for surrender.

Imagine what the world would look like today if the United States had surrendered to Japan after the costly battles at Tarawa, Iwo Jima or Okinawa. What if we had surrendered when German forces nearly broke through Allied lines at the Battle of the Bulge.

Difficulty in war is NEVER an excuse for surrender... unless of course you're a coward.

Nicely put, Skyboss. I do have to make a comment to anonymous. She said that her husband sacrificed, but at least she can still talk with him and put her arms around him and tell him that she loves him.
My point is what about all the people on September 11th. Did they ask for having two planes come into their work and kill them. NO!!
War isn't always a good thing, but I agree with Skyboss. I like them fighting the war over there than here. :-)
God Bless you all. :-)
