What Senator Biden conveniently neglects to mention, is that the wealthiest 5% of Americans pay nearly 80% of the taxes in this country. And he dares to say it is unpatriotic of them to not want to be taxed further?! The so-called top 5% comprises not only super wealthy individuals, but also corporations, big and small, and small businesses who employ the American worker. Higher taxes for them would trickle down to the American worker and consumer in the form of job cuts, reductions in benefits, and increased prices on goods and services. And what on Earth entitles a lazy, able-bodied bum who refuses to work and milks the social security system to a tax cut when he doesn't even pay taxes?? That's the Obama-Biden plan. Robin Hood economics. Punish the successful and reward the lazy.
It's all too easy for most Americans, those of us in the lower 95%, to sit back and say, "Yeah... tax the rich, it won't affect me... Barack Obama promises me a tax cut!" But a few moments of clarity and deeper thinking easily reveal the truth behind what Obama and Biden are promoting... redistribution of wealth. Communism 101.
